Bill and I both had a 10 am appointment at Steel Horse Harley here in Richmond for service on our bikes. I had the 20,000 mile maintenance and Bill had his tires replaced. We both went out to dinner (at separate places) to have breakfast with our wives and to say goodby for the second time while the service was being done! We had hoped to get away by 12 noon but it took until about 12:45 to get away from the shop. We made good time heading south on I-95 and the traffic was not bad anywhere.

Having breakfast with my wife:

We had a few sprinkles along the way down I-95, but nothing to warrant putting on a rain suit. It would just sprinkle and then dry out.

I had met a fellow USA4CT finisher, Harold, last year and become Facebook friends with him from Charleston, SC. My wife and I had had dinner with him last year too when we took a cruise out of Charleston, SC harbor. Harold had told me to call him when we would be in the SC area so I did and we decided to meet for dinner in Santee, SC. We timed it so well that as we got off the interstate we met Harold coming the other way as we all pulled into the hotel parking lot together.

We all had a great dinner and conversation at a the Captains Quarters seafood restaurant next door to our hotel (Although it was not nearly as good as the restaurants in Charleston, SC, especially Poogan's Porch!!).

Harold gave us a lot of great tips on the USA4CT. Just a great evening with great friends!!! THANKS, Harold!!

My dinner of shrimp and grits (gotta have them when in South Carolina!!)
